Privacy Policy
This policy explains how RampReady handles information when you use the Android app and our support website.
Information we handle
- Account information: email address, account identifier, sign-in status, and authentication records when you create or use an account.
- Location: your device location when you grant permission, used to show your position and nearby boat ramps. RampReady does not add your current location to your account profile.
- Saved activity: ramps you favorite and their association with your account or guest identifier.
- Community reports: ramp condition selections, comments, time, associated account or guest identifier, and any photo you choose to upload. Reports are intended to be visible to other RampReady users.
- Technical information: information needed to operate and secure the service, such as app requests, device or browser details, IP address, and error or security logs processed by our service providers.
- Support communications: information you include when you email us.
How we use information
We use information to provide maps and nearby-ramp features, synchronize favorites, publish and manage community reports, authenticate accounts, recover passwords, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
Service providers and disclosure
RampReady uses service providers to operate essential features, including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Google Maps Platform for maps and location-based display; Expo services for app delivery and related technical operations; and weather or marine-data providers when those features are used. These providers may process technical data under their own terms and privacy practices.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Permissions and choices
You can deny or revoke location and photo permissions in Android settings. Some nearby-map or photo-report features will not work without the related permission. You may use basic browsing without creating a permanent account. You can sign out from the Profile screen.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and app data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion from the Profile screen in the app or through our account deletion page. After verifying the request, we delete the account and associated favorites, reports, and uploaded report photos. Limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity, and are removed or isolated when no longer required.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Children
RampReady is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy as RampReady changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are posted.
